Using a personal trainer is an investment in your health and fitness but what about the cost? Often clients will have tried fitness apps, cheap gym memberships and short-term challenges but they all came to the same conclusion: I’m not saving money if I never do the workouts.

A personal trainer will yield better results for you than other options if you:

  • Can’t motivate yourself yourself to workout consistently

  • Cut corners or ‘cheat’ in your workouts

  • Lose interest and stop exercising within three months

If you are paying the same amount each month to not workout, surely it’s more expensive than a personal trainer?

How much does a PT session cost?

Personal training is offered privately, in gyms, outdoors and through studios. Things like location, expertise, and facility amenities influence the pricing structure.

At Recharged Training our personal training session is 45 minutes long and the cost can vary depending on how many people you are happy to work out with. We know budget and motivation are two barriers to using a personal trainer so we want to help you AND involve your friends and family.

You can choose between:

  • 1-on-1 personal training ($60 a session)

  • 2-on-1 personal training ($30 a session)

  • 3-on-1 personal training ($25 a session)

Our trainers believe in providing exceptional value through our expertise and personalised approach to your fitness journey so we can help match you with other clients if you want a training buddy but can’t get them to come along.

How much should you spend on a personal trainer?

How much to invest in a personal trainer depends on your goals, budget, and commitment level. We recommend allocating a reasonable percentage of your monthly fitness budget to ensure you receive high-quality coaching and support. You need to eat everyday but can’t afford to eat out for every meal- once or twice a week is reasonable. Do the same with your fitness! The main meal ($65 personal training session) can be once a week while our group classes (from $10) are an easy exercise snack.

Money talks, results sweat!

Understanding the cost of personal training is essential for making an informed decision. The price of a personal trainer includes tailored expertise to level up your workouts as you improve your overall fitness, motivation and accountability to turn up, a variety of equipment maintained to ensure safety and the professional guidance of fitness experts. Don’t throw money away doing ineffective workouts- or not doing them- and invest in professional outcomes.

Do Gyms Get Busy in Winter?

Gyms tend to experience a surge in attendance during winter. Many individuals make fitness resolutions as the new year begins and slump off after a few months. While this may sound overwhelming, don’t let it discourage you. Instead, use it as motivation to stay committed to your personal training regimen. If you start your personal training mid-year you are setting yourself up for success. Imagine feeling proud in January for what you achieved!

What Happens If You Workout in Winter?

Working out during winter offers performance enhancing benefits. Exercising in the colder months can boost your immune system, helping you fend off seasonal illnesses. Body heat from exercising keeps you warm and comfortable throughout the day. Regular exercise releases endorphins which improves your mood and combats seasonal blues. So, lace up your sneakers and experience the transformative power of winter workouts.

What is the Best Time for Personal Training?

The best time for personal training ultimately depends on your schedule and personal preferences. Winter offers some flexibility due to shorter daylight hours and cooler temperatures. Morning workouts can help kickstart your day, boost metabolism, and leave you energised. Evening sessions can help you relieve stress and unwind after a long day. Find a time that suits your lifestyle to maintain consistency and achieve your fitness goals.

Don’t let the winter chill dampen your fitness aspirations. Embrace the season and leverage the benefits it brings. From the convenience of gyms to the boost in motivation, winter is an ideal time to start or intensify your personal training journey. Reasons to Use a Personal Trainer

Personal trainers offer several benefits to individuals looking to improve their fitness. A personal trainer can:
  • help you develop a customised gym workout plan that fits your specific goals and needs
  • guide you through proper exercise technique and form, which can help prevent injuries and ensure you are working out effectively
  • provide accountability and motivation to help you stay on track with your fitness goals

The Importance of Having a Gym Workout Plan

Having a gym workout plan is crucial for achieving your fitness goals. A structured plan can help you stay focused and consistent with your workouts. Additionally, a well-designed gym workout plan will ensure that you are incorporating all the necessary components of fitness, including cardiovascular endurance, strength training, and flexibility.a leaderboard of teh challenge of the month at the gym

Losing Weight

If your goal is to lose weight, your gym workout plan should focus on burning calories through cardiovascular exercise and incorporating strength training to build muscle mass. Cardiovascular exercises like running, cycling or our infamous SkiErg trainer can help you burn calories, while strength training can help you build muscle mass, which will increase your metabolism and help you burn more calories even when you’re not working out.man watching woman work out on skierg machine

Building Strength

If you’re looking to build strength, your gym workout plan should focus on resistance training exercises such as weightlifting, bodyweight exercises or resistance band exercises. These exercises can help increase muscle size and strength while also improving your overall fitness level. Many of these exercises can be continued at home once you know the proper technique.woman in red shirt doing pull ups

Recovering from Injury and Post-Partum

If you are recovering from an injury or have recently given birth, your gym workout plan should be tailored to your specific needs. A personal trainer can help you develop a safe and effective gym workout plan that incorporates exercises to help you recover and regain strength. For example, if you’ve recently had a baby, your gym workout plan might include pelvic floor exercises, core strengthening exercises and low-impact cardiovascular exercises.mother working out ina gyn with her baby on her chest.
