Choose weight-loss goals which don’t depend on weight.
Weight is an unhelpful metric of health. You may notice the scale creeping up over the holidays however the real symptoms of discomfort are tighter clothes, heavier breathing with movement and the sluggish feeling of a body under stress. The scale isn’t the objective tool it’s been promoted as- 5 kg of muscle will feel amazing where 5kg of extra fat will not. Here is a simple set of goals to use as a baseline for fitness:
